Mobile network and Wi‑Fi on the Manaslu Circuit
- SIM to use: NTC generally works better than Ncell along most sections of the Manaslu trail.
- Wi‑Fi in teahouses: Almost all lodges provide Wi‑Fi. It may be paid in some places and speed can vary with weather and power.
- No signal zone: From Dharamsala to Bhimtang via Larke Pass, mobile network is usually unavailable. Download maps and inform family in advance.
Quick tips: buy an NTC SIM in Kathmandu with a data pack, carry a power bank, keep your phone warm at altitude, and save emergency numbers offline.
